This class is intended for Adults (18+) 

A Beginner student has limited or no experience working with clay. Beginner classes are designed to teach all the basic skills and procedures of the studio. Students will practice using the potter’s wheel and begin throwing basic forms such as bowls and mugs. Students often have the liberty to follow their inspirations and make creative pieces, but also make functional artworks including mugs and bowls. This course is intended for beginner-level pottery students. 

In addition to class time, students are allowed studio access to practice independently at their convenience. Please review the Session’s class schedule and Open Studio times that will be posted around the Studio by our Ceramics Director and only work during your own scheduled class time and Open Studio hours. Thank you for keeping each other’s learning experiences in mind!

One 25 lb. bag of clay included along with glazing supplies and firing fees.
