This class is intended for Adults (18+) 

Learn the foundational skills of painting in either acrylic or oil. In the five-week course students will learn the basics of color mixing, describing value and form, abstraction, and ideas surrounding discovering an artistic voice. Through a combination of guided exercises as well as open-ended studio time the class will emphasize both gaining a fundamental painting skillset, as well as using artmaking as a tool in personal expression. For experienced students the course will provide a review of important foundational skills relevant to any painting practice, as well as individual mentorship on how to push their studio practice forward.
