This class is thoughtfully designed for students ages 6-10

Get ready for a fun-filled and hands-on art adventure! In this dynamic, five-week art class, young artists will discover new and exciting ways to express themselves through a variety of creative techniques. Each week focuses on a different skill, sparking imagination and building confidence in the artistic process. Here's a sneak peek at what to expect: 

Week 1: Color & Texture Exploration – Dive into the world of abstract expression with stick whack painting, splatter paint, and nature rubbings. Experiment with movement and texture to create unique masterpieces inspired by the environment. 

Week 2: Hammer Prints – Get ready for a bit of controlled chaos as we use hammers to safely create bold, textured prints. Students will learn how to manipulate materials to make striking, one-of-a-kind artwork. 

Week 3: Paint with Everything But a Brush – This week, we’ll explore the wild world of unconventional tools! From bubble art to using hands, sponges, and more, students will discover that there are no limits to what can be used to make art.

Week 4: Movement & Creativity – Embrace movement in your art! Students will learn bilateral coloring techniques and explore how running and moving while coloring can lead to exciting, energetic pieces that reflect their creativity in motion. 

Week 5: Recycled Art Creations – Let’s reuse and reinvent! Using the work created in previous classes, students will tear, cut, and reassemble their own pages into new artistic creations. This week, they’ll see how past work can evolve into something entirely new and exciting. 

By the end of the class, students will have explored various techniques, developed a strong sense of creative freedom, and built a portfolio filled with vibrant, original artwork! Perfect for young artists ready to try something new, bold, and fun.
