This class is intended for Adults (18+).

Students continue their exploration of ceramic art by practicing more beginner-intermediate wheel throwing techniques. The design and creation of utilitarian pieces is emphasized; students learn balance and proportion, wall thickness correction, and surface decoration techniques. Students often have the liberty of making creative pieces, but also learn how to make 'functional art', such as vases, planters, and teapots.

In addition to class time, Students are allowed studio access to practice independently at their convenience.

Please review the Session’s class schedule and Open Studio times that will be posted around the Studio by our Ceramics Director and only work during your own scheduled class time and Open Studio hours. Thank you for keeping each other’s learning experiences in mind!

One 25 lb. bag of clay included along with glazing supplies and firing fees.
