This class is intended for students ages 14 - 18

This 10-week course is designed to introduce teens to the exciting world of clay, where they’ll explore creativity through hands-on projects and learn the basics of working with this versatile medium. Each week, students will dive into different foundational techniques, such as hand building, pinch, slab, and coil methods, as well as an introduction to wheel throwing. They’ll have the opportunity to create both functional pieces, like mugs, bowls, and planters, and expressive sculptural art.

Guided by an experienced instructor, students will also explore surface decoration and glazing, learning to add color, texture, and finishing touches to their work. This class is a great way to build artistic confidence and discover the joy of creating with clay, all in a supportive, collaborative environment. Perfect for beginners or those with some experience, each student will complete the course with a collection of unique, personalized clay pieces.

One 25 lb. bag of clay included along with glazing supplies and firing fees.
