This class is intended for ages 18+. 

Learn how to translate what you see into drawing. In this five-week course, students will explore foundational drawing techniques. The course will include observational techniques, how to describe light and shadow in a drawing, how to create atmosphere and depth as well as experimental and expressive approaches. 

A range of drawing materials will also be explored including graphite, charcoal and mixed media. Drawing can provide a foundation for any painting, sculpting or ceramic practice. For those with existing practices the course can be a great way to refresh basic observational drawing skills. For those new to artmaking the course focuses on meeting students where they’re at and is open to all skill levels. Supplies are included in this course.
